The Walla Walla Regional Airport web camera was installed thanks in part to a $5,000 grant from the Washington State Department of Transportation Aviation Division.  The Walla Walla Regional Airport contributed $250 towards the installation costs.

The airport web camera has four preset viewpoints. 

• Southwest View
• West View
• North View
• East View – Overlooks the airport terminal building parking lot and the Blue Mountains.
   

“This web camera will be a great resource to pilots and the traveling public wanting to get up-to-date snapshots of weather conditions at the airport,” said Commissioner Bennett.

The web camera operates 24 hours per day and pictures are updated every 15 minutes.  The web camera is best viewed during daylight hours and offer clear views of the airport and surrounding countryside. 

The web camera is supported by Pocketinet Communications.  They were founded in 2000 as a supplier of business broadband to Southeastern Washington and Eastern Oregonian.  Pocketinet Communications corporate headquarters is located on the second floor of the Walla Walla Regional Airport Terminal Building.
