Crash, Fire & Rescue Capabilities

Aircraft Rescue & Firefighting (ARFF)
Walla Walla Regional Airport offers an Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) facility that is located near the mid-point of the aviation ramp area. Walla Walla Regional Airport contracts this service out to Walla Walla County Fire District #4.  District #4 provides exceptional "on airport" coverage during all scheduled, commercial airline flights. Yearly, each firefighter attends an accredited ARFF school (FAA Part 139 Certified) for intensive training and drills related to aircraft emergencies.  In addition, the District provides support for all other incidents/emergencies on the airfield and within the airport industrial park.
