Airport and Walla Walla County Fire District #4 finalized a five year contract to have the fire district provide ARFF services at the airport. Airport ARFF employees will become employees of FD #4. Agreement provides the airport with a more cost effective means to provide ARFF coverage for commercial flights. |

The Walla Walla Union-Bulletin concluded "It was FAA, not Port of Walla Walla that made grant errors. FAA officials were aware of the Port's intention for use of the Olson land and its water." |
